I couldn’t breathe. My head was spinning. My heart was pounding. I wondered… is this what a panic attack feels like? Just the thought of having to recreate or relocate thousands upon thousands of crucial contacts, files, projects, photos, etc. made me nauseous.
The EMERGENCY PHONE CALL went like this:
ME: Help!! Something is wrong?
JAMIN: Calm down. What’s going on?
ME: I’m trying to open a file that took me 2 weeks to complete and I CAN’T FIND IT!! My computer keeps blinking in and out!!! It’s making a funny noise!!! What should I do!!!
JAMIN: Did you try to re-boot it?
JAMIN: Did you take the battery out, wait 60 seconds, and then try to re-boot it?
JAMIN: When your screen was blinking in and out, what color was it?
DUN….DUN…DA….. DUUUUUUUN…. You guessed it. The blue “screen of death”. The last thing you see before your hard drive is about to completely CRASH!!!
My only hope was to get to Tech Genius ASAP. When I arrived, it was like a scene from a hospital emergency room. Jamin immediately rushed my computer to his “lab”, took it apart, diagnosed the problem and started to “operate”. Long story short. He was able to save all of my files, contacts, projects, photos, AND teach me how to properly back up my system. Talk about relief !!!
This unnerving experience prompted me to tell any and everyone about Tech Genius and share the following with you:
